Step by step guide on how to create a C2C blanket.
Abbreviations (UK terms)
C2C - corner to corner
ch - Chain
sk - Skip
st(s) - Stitch(es)
ss - Slip Stitch
dc - Double Crochet
tr - Treble Crochet
Increasing C2C
Step 1: ch 6, tr in the 4th ch from the hook, tr in the next 2 chains.
Step 2: Turn, ch 6, tr in the 4th ch from the hook, tr in the next 2 chains.
Step 3:
Ss into the corner of the block from the previous row (behind the ch), ch 3, 3 tr in ch.
Step 4: Do step 2 then repeat step 3 to the end of the row.
Step 5: Repeat step 4 until you have the desired number of rows.
Decreasing C2C
Step 1:Â Ss in the 3 tr. ss behind the ch, ch 3, 3 tr in ch
Step 2: Ss into the corner of the block from the previous row (behind the ch), ch 3, 3 tr in ch.
Step 3: Repeat step 2 until the end of the row (do not make a block in the last block), turn.
Step 4: Repeat step 1 to 3 until there is only 1 block in the row, fasten off.
Changing Colour
On the block before the colour change, on the last tr, when there are 2 loops on the hook,
drop the old colour and finish the tr with the new colour.
Continue the next block with the new colour.
Border
Step 1:Â (All in the corner) Ch 1, dc, ch 2, dc, ch 2.
Step 2:Â Dc (in the space between the 2 blocks), ch 2.
Step 3:Â Repeat step 2 until you reach the corner.
Step 4:Â (All in the corner) dc, ch 2, dc, ch 2.
Step 5:Â Repeat step 3 and 4 until you reach the end, ss into the first dc, fasten off.

Finishing Touches
Making Tassels:
Cut 3 strips (or 6 if you are using DK) of yarn messuring about 30cm.
Fold the strips in half. Pull them part way through one of 2 ch spaces, on the border, to make a loop.
Hook and pull the ends through the loop and pull tight.
Repeat for all the 2 ch spaces on chosen sides.
